Just Get it Done Declutter Challenge -Day 11

Today’s challenge was irons, cutting mats, rulers

I discarded my old unusable irons last year.  My iron does not leak, but I do not put water in it but use a spray bottle.  I also use a homemade spray starch that is similar to best press.   I cleaned my iron today, and frequently clean fusible off using dryer sheets.   My rulers are on the pegboard attached to my desk with my cutting tools.  I have several sets of Handi Quilter long arm rulers that I was given by the company, but have not used very much.  Not ready to give them a way yet as I still want to learn ruler quilting.

Last year I cut all the good areas from my old cutting mats.  I recently built up the end of my quilt table to be level with my machine bed. Now I can store the mats there, along with a small floral ironing board I made. It makes a nice temporary ironing and cutting station.

Above is the progress on the collage ocean scenes. I got the yellows and pale orange areas quilted. On the right you can see all the organza bits and thread scraps under the tool but not quilted yet. The jar is one of my scrap jars I use sometimes to add texture.
