Just Get It Done Declutter Challenge Day 15 &16
I am not a follow directions kind of gal so, I don’t have any premade kits. I only have uncut fabric for my large trail of tears project that I’m currently working on.
I don’t often buy precuts but when I do I separate them and store it by size and color. So I spent the part of the morning scrubbing the bathroom tile floor and the other part making a paper tracing of my Trail of Tears quilt. This is about 7 by 3 ft for this first section. I realized that as I was putting on the background fabric, I was covering all my scketch that I needed to see. I traced my canvas sketch on to plain news print using a light box and listened to a book as I worked late into the night.
Day 16 was UFO’s. I picked up two more 12 by 12 project boxes from JoAnn’s. I have close to twenty UFO’s not including one WOMBAT (wasted of money, batting, and time.) I reorganized my projects and UFO’s and switched some containers for others. I have two that I won’t finish. but want them because of the mistakes to help me remake the projects down the road. I am working on all of these UFO’s between making stuff for the craft festivals. All the shoeboxes hold things like miniature easel’s, velco, ribbon, pieces, picture ideas and scraps of fabric. I have three boxes with backgrounds started, and starched fabric pieces that I pull from throughout the year to create miniature scenes, confetti, bird background and quilted journal covers & bookmarker.
