In my studio

Not much work is coming out of my studio this month. We are moving my studio downstairs. The living room will be rearranged for my husband and my current studio will become a small art room for our daughter and music room for my husband. The pictures below show some of the chaos created. I was able to clear seven shelves for my fabric. The design was was reomoved from the wall, carried downstrairs and I put it up sideways and like it much better. My thread peg board was removed and you can see the old wall treatment that was under it. I definitely will have to repaint. I repainted the peg board white and added more pegs. I was able to move my small sewing table downstairs and got it set up. Only problem was the slick floors made my chair slide across the floor so I had to by small rugs to go underneath it. The last pictures show some of the disorder left to sort out. I;m not showing all my husband’s papers and stuff still to be organized so I can finish moving.

I am leaving my large table for my daughter’s artroom and took the old metal teacher’s desk that was my husband’s as my cutting table since it’s too heavy to move upstairs. I found a board in the garage and cut it the size of my cutting mat. We found some large pvc pipes and cut them to raise the table top to the correct height and give me a 5 inch space the size of my table to store projects and tools. I trimmed an existing peg board to size and painted it white and then attached it to the desk for all my cutting toolsand rulers. It also holds rolls of backing paper for pieces I frame.
