Day 7 Just get it done quilts
Today we were to choose a hotspot to clean up. I have had a large box in my room where I’ve been dumping things that I hadn’t found a place for in my studio yet, and where I’ve hastily cleared the cutting table. I’ve been meaning to tackle this for a long time so I chose this as my spot because it takes up valuable walking space. Among the things I found in the box was a shirt I bought years ago because I wanted the beads on it. Needless to say it has just sat around gathering dust. I spent the evening cutting off all the beads and sorting and putting them away.
Here is a picture of all I have left to clean up.
It was not much, but I was too tired to work anymore. The other thing is I was designing and cutting out another room for the Amy Bradley “Dollhouse Quilt”. I wanted to add a music room. The green section will be the pocket front of the block. i had some small print music fabric lto make a sheet of music but misplaced it. I will probably add a few smaller intruments such as a saxophone as well. Now I’m ready to start adding blanket stitching around each applique in the 13 blocks.
My newest project for the day was to draw up waterbirds for my new series. I have drawn three waterbirds for a new series I will begin.
